Nutricionista (Universidad de Costa Rica) y Doctor en Ciencias Biomédicas (Universidad de Costa Rica). Actualmente mi línea de investigación se orienta a estudiar los factores psicosociales que modulan la conducta alimentaria en los adolescentes costarricenses urbanos y rurales, como estrategia para reducir el riego de obesidad en este grupo poblacional y prevenir el desarrollo de enfermedades cardiométabólicas y sus complicaciones en la edad adulta. Así mismo, realizo investigaciones vinculadas con la influencia de la dinámica familiar en la calidad de la dieta de los adolescentes.
